Neill Blomkamp Reveals Concept Art For Proposed Alien Sequel

South African director Neill Blomkamp has already won over the hearts of sci-fi fans with his unique and derelict depiction of the future, shown in films such as District 9, Elysium and the forthcoming Chappie, but the filmmaker wants to take on an existing franchise: Aliens.

Blomkamp has been quietly developing his own little spin on the Alien universe, and whether or not the project will ever be made, the director has released his concept images via Twitter.

“Was working on this. Don’t think I am anymore. Love it though,” said Blomekamp before posting the images, followed by: “This has nothing to do with the studio. I just feel like I might do something else instead. In which case why not show some work.”
