Watch the Terrifying Trailer for ‘The Witch’

Since it debuted at the Sundance Film Festival earlier in the year, Robert Eggers’ movie The Witch has been generating some very strong word of mouth. It’s a movie set in 1630, and focuses on a small family that ‘s been ostracised from its plantation, as a result of the father’s objecting to the lackadaisical religious approach of everyone else. He thus moves his family to a small cabin next to the woods, and you can start to work out what happens next.

The Witch a release date yet, but it has been picked up by A24 for release in the other territories. It’s due to open in 2016, and we hope that someone will pick up the movie for the local market.
