Dan Carter

If there were any doubts that Dan Carter was beyond his prime, the Rugby World Cup quarter final encounter between the All Blacks and France proved otherwise.

The veteran flyhalf played arguably his best Test match since the 2005 British & Irish Lions series, breaking the line, controlling the game with his tactical kicking, putting his outside backs away, and delivering some stellar passes in the process.

His one notable assist came in the 28th minute, when Carter through a dummy, handed off a massive Pascal Pape, and threw a outrageous no-look flick pass to winger Julian Savea to score.
