A hot new month of sneakers is approaching, and we’ve highlighted some of the most exciting and sought-after kicks to get your hands on in July. Here’s our picks for the coming month:
The Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG
The Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG is back as part of Jordan Brand’s “Premium Essentials” collection. The versatile silhouette is characterised by simple colour-blocking using a white shade of Sail with a contrasting hit of red on the Nike Air tongue label. The Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG are available available from 1 July 2017 at R2,099.
Puma Tsugi Shinsei Raw Pack
Puma’s sneaker-game has been strong in 2017, and the German company has now introduced its new Tsugi Shinsei range, which have been seen on the feet of The Weeknd. “Tsugi” means “next” in Japanese, and the design features a unique side lacing pattern and Ignite foam, the same found on that of the Puma Ignite running range. The sneakers also feature a knitted vamp and sock, rip-stop tongue and debossed quarter overlays for a premium and sophisticated look. It’s got the same progressive streetwear vibe but with relaxed, soft materials.
Available in tonal Black as well as two new color combos of Peacoat-Whisper and Marshmallow-Puma White, the Tsugi Shinsei Raw Pack will be retailing for R2,499 at Puma Select stores and selected retailers nationwide.
The Air Jordan 5 Retro ‘Red Suede’
Jordan Brand will be releasing a brand new colourway of the Air Jordan 5 that has the model rock an all-Red motif. The vibrancy of this Jordan 5 is executed by having it constructed out of a bold and bright Red suede upper. Even more Red is found on the netting on the side panels as well as on the majority of the sneaker’s midsole. Adding some contrast is the 3M reflective on the tongue, Black accents on the inner lining, shark teeth component on the midsole and Jumpman branding on the heel. Completing the look of the shoe is the icy outsole down low.
The Air Jordan 5 Retro ‘Red Suede’ drops on Saturday, 1 July, and are priced at R2,799.
