6 PS4 Exclusives We Can’t Wait to Play in 2018
Which PS4 big-hitters should you keep an eye out for this year?
The PS4 might be deep into it’s lifecycle, but 2018 is lining up to be one of the biggest years for Sony’s console. We countdown some of the most anticipated games heading for Playstation gamers this year.
God of War
Release date: 20 April 2018 (PS4)
Kratos is back… and he has a son. God of War is getting a reboot, although this time the game is wrapped up in some intriguing Norse lore, rather than Greek mythology, featuring Kratos with a beard and brutal war axe. The game will revolve around Kratos’ relationship with his son, Atreus, who players will also be able to take control of. The gameplay demo gave us a look at the game, which is similar to past God of War games but refreshingly different too. Of course, the giant creature battles return and look better than ever.
Spider-Man
Release date: TBC 2018 (PS4)
We’ve had a few Spidey games in recent years, but they’ve always been tied-in to film releases; and we’re craving an adventure that really explores Spider-Man’s villain roster and one that takes the story to new places. Thankfully, Sony and Insomniac Games’ new title looks to be delivering just that. From what we’ve seen of the game already — it looks incredible, with some fluid swinging and fighting mechanics, alongside some gorgeous visuals and jaw-dropping cinematic moments. We’re just hoping the final product sticks its landing.
Ghost of Tsushima
Release date: TBC 2018 (PS4)
Moving away from the inFamous series for the first time in a while, the team over at Sucker Punch is working on a brand new IP called Ghost of Tsushima — an open world adventure game set in Feudal Japan where you take on the role of a samurai. What we do know about the gameplay is that there’s going to be a lot of samurai action, as you’ll tasked with battling overwhelming odds against the incoming Mongol Empire using your katana, samurai skills, and honour to protect your homeland.
Hong Kong Massacre
Release date: TBC 2018 (PS4)
The Hong Kong Massacre is a new top-down, twin-stick shooter that blends the look and feel of Hotline Miami with the bullet-time action of Max Payne. Players will be able to slow down time in order to pull off some seriously-stylish gunfights, but more importantly, to (attempt) to dodge incoming fire and make some crucial decisions about your next move. It looks absolutely stunning in motion and we can’t wait to get down to some gritty film-noir firefights when The Hong Kong Massacre launches.
Days Gone
Release date: TBC 2018 (PS4)
Days Gone is an upcoming post-apocalyptic zombie title from Bend Studios, who worked on the underrated Uncharted: Golden Abyss on PS Vita. Set in the beautiful, volcanic scarred high-desert of the Pacific Northwest, Days Gone throws you into the boots of Deacon St. John, a drifter and bounty hunter who has to use his former biker days to gain an edge in a world where survival is the only option. It looks gorgeous and the sheer volume of zombies on-screen gets us excited to what the game has in store.

Detroit: Become Human
Release date: TBC 2018 (PS4)
Detroit: Become Human is an upcoming neo-noir thriller video game developed by Quantic Dream, the team behind the narrative-driven PS3 hit, Heavy Rain. Set in the future, the plot revolves around three androids all with different roles and fates, and like the studio’s previous game, you’ll have to make some difficult decisions that will branch the story to affect not only your outcome, but the future of the city.
