New Bumblebee Trailer Brings G1 Transformers to the Big-Screen [Video]
Nostalgia, roll-out!
Transformers spin-off prequel, Bumblebee, is set to hit cinemas this December, and while we saw the first trailer a little while ago, a whole lot more has been shown of the upcoming blockbuster thanks to some new footage from the film’s second trailer.
Most notably, the latest trailer showcases not only Bumblebee, but many of the other familiar robotic-faces in the Transformers line-up pre-2007’s original movie, giving fans a glimpse of the G1 iterations of the beloved robots in disguise.
Set in the 1980s, Bumblebee will take place before the events of the first Transformers film, and also stars a new teenage lead, Hailee Steinfeld (Pitch Perfect), alongside John Cena. The film is directed by Travis Knight, who helmed the brilliant stop-motion films Kubo and the Two Strings and Coraline. Franchise veterans Michael Bay and Lorenzo di Bonaventura will produce the film, along with executive producers Steven Spielberg, Brian Goldner and Mark Vahradian.
Bumblebee will hit cinemas on 21 December 2018.
