Some tight encounters, brilliant individual performances, and dramatic moments made for an incredibly entertaining weekend of sport. But with so many great highlights, we decided to rank out top 5; so without further ado, here are our picks of the best sporting moments from the past weekend:

Japan’s incredible team try

In the Test match against Scotland, Japan went on the attack from their own tryline to go on to score a brilliant length-of-the-field 5-pointer. Brilliant skill by the Japanese.

Shaqiri’s bicycle-kick

In the Euro 2016 clash between Switzerland and Poland, a cross from the left flank was half cleared to the edge of the area where Xerdan Shaqiri produced a sublime bicycle kick into the bottom corner.

Jantjies’ pinpoint cross-kick

Springbok flyhalf linked up excellently with winger JP Pietersen thanks to a perfectly placed crossfield kick that resulted in a try for South Africa.

Dagg shows his pace

Israel Dagg has had a brilliant return to the All Blacks following his World Cup omission. After a quick turnover after the buzzer, the star fullback outstripped the Welsh defence to score a great long-range try.

Nathan Ross’ spectacular finish

NRL star Nathan Ross scored an absolutely ridiculous acrobatic try for the Knights in the Round 16 NRL clash with the Dragons.
