Here’s The First Gameplay Trailer For Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 5
THPS is dropping back onto consoles later this year, and here’s your first-look at the long-awaited game…
Fans of the virtual Birdman, prepare for a shot of nostalgia, as Activision has released the first official gameplay trailer for Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 5.
Developed by Robomodo, the studio responsible for Tony Hawk Ride, Shred, and Pro Skater HD, the game takes the style the Tony Hawk franchise was initially known for – hence the return to the Pro Skater name – and introduces some new wrinkles. These include power-ups and at least one mission-specific ability that allows you to shoot some kind of projectile.
This latest entry will also feature 20-player simultaneous online multiplayer on current-gen consoles. The Xbox 360 and PS3 versions, however, will feature no online play whatsoever.
THPS5 also includes a level editor, so you can craft your own skate parks.
Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 5 is due in Europe on 2 October on PS4 and Xbox One. The PS3 and Xbox 360 versions’ release date has yet to be announced, but Activision noted that it’s aiming for sometime later this year.
