Gears of War Creator Reveals New Gravity-Defying FPS Game
Cliff Bleszinski, the man behind the original Gears of War trilogy, has been under the radar for quite some time, but the acclaimed developer has now unveiled his latest project via his new game studio, Boss Key Productions.
The new game is called Lawbreakers, and focuses on futuristic law enforcement officers attempting to repel marauding gangs which have clubbed together and attempted to take the US. The moon was also the subject of clandestine testing and has shattered, leading to pockets of zero-gravity which can be exploited.
This will make up a core part of the gameplay, whereby players have to capitalise on the zero-G areas, as Bleszinski likened LawBreakers to the “ground is lava” game where folks do everything in their power to avoid touching the floor.
Bleszinski also said the “seed” of the idea had been in his mind for years, and sees LawBreakers believes the gravity element, fast-paced combat, arena-style structure, and team factors will change up what you expect from a game in this genre.
