Batman: Arkham Knight PC Buyers To Get Arkham City, Asylum, & Origins For Free
Warner Bros. feels bad, which means gamers win.
It’s been a tough time for Warner Bros and Rocksteady. After initially releasing the highly-anticipated Batman: Arkham Knight on PC, the game was met with a myriad of technical problems and digital and physical sales were halted, causing some seriously disgruntled PC gamers.
The game is now back up for sale on Steam this week, and Warner Bros feels an apology for making their fans wait four months just won’t cut it. So, as compensation, WB has announced plans to give away free digital copies of Batman: Arkham Asylum GOTY, Batman: Arkham City GOTY, Batman: Arkham Origins and Batman: Arkham Origins Blackgate to players who purchase the PC version of Batman: Arkham Knight prior to 16 November.
The free games will also be offered to those who have previously purchased the title, and should appear in players’ Steam libraries by December.
Rocksteady will also develop a new “Community Challenge Pack” to be given away free to all owners in January. The pack will be available on both PC and console, but will arrive one week early on PC.
And finally, Team Fortress 2 players will also receive Batman: Arkham inspired cosmetic items designed by the community.
Warner Bros. says that the free items come as a “show of our appreciation” to fans who have been waiting for the game to return to Steam after issues with the PC version were discovered shortly after its release.
We got to play Batman: Arkham Knight back when it was released on PS4 and Xbox One, and really enjoyed the captivating story and refined gameplay, despite some shoehorned moments. Read out full Batman: Arkham Knight review here.
