Sega Mega Drive Returning to SA, Prices Revealed

Fans of retro video games and, well… nostalgia in general, will be ecstatic to know that local distributor Apex Interactive has announced that the beloved Sega Megadrive will be making a return to South Africa.

The Megadrive consoles have a slight variation in design to the originals, but this is through-and-through a Sega console, with the traditional controller layout and cartage capabilities.

The package, which comes with the console, two controllers, and 80 built-in SEGA video games including all 3 original Mortal Kombat games, will retail for R1499.95 (RRP).

Other built-in games include: Altered Beast, Comix Zone, Ecco, Golden Axe, Golden Axe II, Golden Axe III, Shinobi III, Streets Of Rage 1 Streets Of Rage 2, Streets Of Rage 3, Sonic & Knuckles, Sonic the Hedgehog, Sonic the Hedgehog II, Vectorman, Vectorman II, and Virtua Fighter II, among others.
