April’s gaming schedule is underway with a massive Xbox One and PC exclusive kicking it off, but PS4 and PC owners also get their fair share of gaming action this week.

Here are our picks for the games of the week:

Quantum Break

Release date: 5 April (Xbox One, PC)

Quantum Break is undoubtedly one of the most anticipated games for Xbox One and PC gamers this year, and it’s releasing this week. Made by Remedy, the developer behind Max Payne and Alan Wake, the game follows an experiment that has gone wrong. The event not only causes time to start breaking down, but also grants the three main characters – Jack Joyce, Beth Wilder, and Paul Serene – the ability to manipulate time. In addition to the time-bending third-person shooting gameplay, Quantum Break has been developed alongside a live-action series, that will change based on your actions in the game. Dirt Rally

Release date: 5 April (Xbox One, PS4)

Dirt Rally features 39 of the most iconic and relevant cars from yesteryear through to modern day, representing the cars that the players want, and the ones that make the most sense for the surfaces they race on. Six rallies with over 70 stages. Head to the muddy paths of Wales, the dusty trails of Greece and the icy tarmac of Monte Carlo. Take on the legendary hillclimb of Pikes Peak, the snowy thrills of Sweden, and the epic scenery of Finland. DiRT Rally has the iconic locations to test your nerve and delight your senses. Race at the Lydden Hill, Holjes and Hell tracks in six of the fastest off-road cars and take on your friends in bumper-to-bumper multiplayer racing.

Enter the Gungeon

Release date: 5 April (PS4, PC)

Enter the Gungeon runs the dungeon crawler genre through the scope of a rifle resulting in dungeon full of gun themed enemies. Every room in the Gungeon is procedurally genre meaning each time you play the game it’ll be different. This ancient temple is full of dangerous enemies, deadly bosses, curious NPCs, shops with helpful items, and many secrets. Every gungeoneer has their own unique past and motivation for running through the Gungeon, and playing through it with each character will unlock something new from items to bosses.

Assassin’s Creed Chronicles

Release date: 5 April (Xbox One, PS4, PC)

A thrilling new saga in the Assassin’s Creed Universe, Assassin’s Creed Chronicles take players to three distinct civilisations and time periods throughout history: the start of the Ming Dynasty crumble, the Sikh Empire going at war in India and the aftermath of Red October revolution. Essentially three games in one, Assassin’s Creed Chronicles let players embody the Assassins Shao Jun, Arbaaz Mir and Nikolai Orelov in a 2.5D re-visitation of the celebrated game experience. Slay from the shadows, master the art of parkour and take the Leap of Faith in a collection of stunning living paintings.

Star Wars Battlefront DLC – Outer Rim

Release date: 5 April (Xbox One, PS4, PC)

EA and DICE plan to release four paid expansions for Star Wars Battlefront. The first paid DLC will is called Outer Rim and it arrives this week. In addition to two new maps and new weapons, two new playable hero characters will be available in the expansion, Greedo and Nien Nunb. Outer Rim also comes with a brand new mode that we now know is called Extraction, which will requite Rebel players to extract a valuable shipment of resources while the Empire attempts to stop them.
