Next to deciding who’s tougher, Chuck Norris or Bruce Lee, one of the hardest decisions we have to make as men is deciding whether to order a beer or gin. But what about having both?

In an effort to create something truly unique that speaks to the modern man (and to solve the aforementioned problem), MenStuff teamed up with Hendrick’s Gin to craft a one-of-a-kind cocktail: the MOB.

The MOB (Most Out-of-the-Ordinary beer) is MenStuff and Hendrick’s Gin’s very-own baby, with the father and mother being gin and weiss craft beer. We gave some of our lucky loyal readers the chance to preview the MOB at an exclusive tasting held at Asoka in Cape Town, and the response was pretty amazing, to say the least.

But, we want all our MenStuff visitors to enjoy the goodness of the MOB, so without further ado, here is the recipe to make your very-own beer-gin hybrids:

The MOB (Most Out-of-the-ordinary Beer)

Ingredients:

  • 1 ½ shot Hendrick’s Gin
  • ½ shot Muscadel
  • ½ shot Apple shrub
  • 1 Cardomom pods
  • ½ shot Lemon juice
  • 4 Mint leaves
  • Weiss Beer

Method:

  • Muddle Cardomom in a shaker.
  • Add Hendrick’s, Muscadel, shrub, mint and lemon juice to the shaker and shake well.
  • Strain into a tumbler filled with ice.
  • Top up with Weiss Beer.
  • Garnish with an apple slice and mint sprig and serve.
