Vintage Motorised Bicycle Company in Joburg is an Awesome Throwback

There’s an undeniable pull towards vintage nostalgia these days, and Desmond Soekoe is bringing something quite special to South Africans with his passion venture, Soekoe Bicycle Company.

Based in Johannesburg, Soekoe (who has an electrical engineering background) builds replica Board Track Racers (a combination of a bicycle and motorbike), which were incredibly popular in the motorsport world in the 1900s.

Using two-stroke engines on an old school vintage bicycles, the Soekoe Bicycle Company creates unique, classic, and powerful products that have attracted both riding veterans and newcomers alike.

Three different models are available: the vintage, boardtrack racer, and classic, each with their own different specifications and details. So, if you’re looking for something to ride to the shop, work, or just to cruise around on the weekends, there’s something for everyone.
