Some tight encounters, brilliant individual performances, and dramatic moments made for an incredibly entertaining weekend of sport. But with so many great highlights, we decided to rank out top 5; so without further ado, here are our picks of the best sporting moments from the past weekend:

Jones’ four tries

Scotland international and Stormers centre Huw Jones scored four tries in his side’s 52-14 victory over the Kings at Newlands.

Folau’s fast feet

Israel Folau showed he’s elusive as ever as he glided through the Blues defence with a brilliant step and acceleration to beat the fullback.

Pereira’s brilliant strike

In the friendly between Wigan and Manchester United, a deflected effort dropped to the Brazilian midfielder Andreas Pereira 12 metres out and he drilled it perfectly it into the top corner.

Francis’ fancy footwork

Blues centre Piers Francis turned the Tahs inside out on his way to 12 points for the night.

Cruden’s unfortunate celebration involvement

Not a piece of sporting brilliance per se, but a funny moment nonetheless. After conceding a try to the Highlanders, Chiefs flyhalf Aaron Cruden was caught up in the opposition’s celebrations, getting roped into a group hug.
