Copley to play villain in ‘Oldboy’

District 9 star and local SA hero, Sharlto Copley, might play the villain in Spike Lee’s Oldboy remake.

Variety reports that the actor is in “early talks” to join the project, which will star Josh Brolin and Elizabeth Olsen. The Copley character will be “a mysterious billionaire out to destroy [Brolin’s character’s] life.” We all have one of those, don’t we?

Christian Bale, Colin Firth and Clive Owen had all reportedly passed on the villain role previously.
