Jeffrey’s Bay surf challenge  is taking place this weekend, 28th-30th April, which sees competitive surfers around the country representing industries within the surfing world.  Industries such as Quiksilver, O’Neill, Volcom, Bombsurf, Lizzard,Oakley and Hurley have entered the challenge and are hoping to steal the cup from previous winners, Billabong.

The event, which is run by Blood scan, is an open one and caters for surfers across the board – junior boys and girls as well as open division.   There is R74,000 in prize money, with the winner of the Open Division receiving R15,000.

“It has been a privilege that we are in a position to sponsor these exciting events and bring such an amazing line up to J-Bay.” says BloodScan’s Lewis Khoury. “BloodScan is in its second year of being involved with surfing, and I am personally so stoked with the results that this is having for us and the surfers we interact with. I am looking forward to the upcoming Challenge in J-Bay.”
