Fist Fight movie

This weekend sees the return of a motley crew with some bad habits, a playground feud of epic proportions, and a psychological thriller. Here are the movies releasing in SA this weekend, 24-26 February 2017:

T2: Trainspotting

Release date: 24 February 2017

The original cast of Trainspotting (Ewan McGregor, Ewen Bremner, Jonny Lee Miller, and Robert Carlyle) all return for another round of debauchery in the Danny Boyle-directed sequel, T2: Trainspotting. The sequel is a loose adaptation of Porno, the original book sequel written by Irvine Welsh back in 2002. It sees a fresh faced Renton (McGregor) reunited with his pals Spud, Begbie and Sick Boy 20 years after their original escapade, but things aren’t as hunky-dory as Renton expects.

Fist Fight

Release date: 24 February 2017

Ice Cube and Charlie Day star as high school teachers prepared to solve their differences the hard way in the comedy Fist Fight, directed by Richie Keen (It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia), which should be a good laugh given the enjoyable chemistry and dynamic between the two actors. The film also stars Jillian Bell, Dean Norris, Christina Hendricks, Dennis Haysbert and JoAnna Garcia Swisher.

A Dog’s Purpose

Release date: 24 February 2017

Dennis Quaid, Bradley Cooper, Peggy Lipton, Juliet Rylance, and Britt Robertson all highlight the talent behind A Dog’s Purpose – yep, a dog movie that’ll definitely make you cry. The film explores the soulful and surprising story of one devoted dog who finds the meaning of his own existence through the lives of the humans he teaches to laugh and love.
