Valencia Scores Goal of the Season Contender for United [Video]

Manchester United’s game against Everton on Sunday started off in the best way possible for the Red Devils as Antonio Valencia managed a fantastic half-volley in the fourth minute.

Valencia isn’t known for his prolific scoring, having only bagged 22 goals for United in an almost decade-long career at the club – but he saved something special for his most recent contribution.

A slightly bizarre pass from Nemanja Mati, with a little too much bounce on it, found it’s way perfectly into Valencia’s path, and instead of taking a touch and looking for an opportunity to cross, the Colombian fullback pulled the trigger and smashed his half volley straight into the top corner to give United their lead.
