The importance of having a balanced fitness routine incorporated into your everyday life is being punted a lot these days, especially considering how big the fitness industry has become. Making it to a gym is an option for a lot of people, but for just as many, it’s not feasible and doesn’t fit into a busy modern-day schedule.

Having varied home fitness options is great for those who have to do their workouts at their humble abodes, and while that dusty old ab-roller is great, The Mirror might be one of the best we’ve seen yet.

It’s a full length mirror that looks normal at first glance, but it’s actually got an embedded camera and speakers that connects you with personal trainers, or alternatively, there’s a selection of on-demand workouts for yoga, boxing, strength training, or cardio. There are also over 50 live workouts a week with a weekly subscription, so you can keep your fitness regime fresh and exciting by following the live selection.

It carries a pretty hefty price-tag of around $1,500 (around R22,000) – but the convenience and functionality it provides for someone that can’t make it to a gym is significant. It carries all the benefits of a personal trainer, but without the inconvenience of having to get to the gym and back.
