Hugh Hefner’s Iconic Robe is Now Up for Grabs

Irrespective of anyone’s opinion on the Playboy media monolith, it’s hard not to admit that Hugh Hefner’s brainchild back in 1953 had a serious impact on pop-culture. Bigger than the influence that the publication itself had is probably Hugh Hefner himself – and nothing evokes the spirit of the original playboy more than his robe. Well, now you can own it.

Being placed on auction, the robe will feature alongside a number of other personal items that belonged to Hefner, including his trademark captain’s hat and cufflinks; and fans will even get the chance to own a full set of bound magazines that will probably go for around $40,000 (around R590,000).
