Rugby 20
Release date: 23 January 2020
Available on: Xbox One | PS4 | PC
Fans have been waiting for this one for a long time, and after the poor reception to the previous instalment, Rugby 18, there are high expectations on Eko Software’s upcoming effort. Early betas of the game have looked promising, and the game is said to have the fluid gameplay, tactical depth, and content breadth to please eager fans of the oval-ball game.
Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot
Release date: 17 January 2020
Available on: Xbox One | PS4 | PC
We’ve had numerous one-on-one Dragon Ball Z fighting games, but we’re finally being treated to a fully-fledged action-RPG set in the Dragon Ball universe. Taking control of Goku, you’ll play through the familiar yet beloved Dragon Ball Z story-arc, but this time take control of the journey more than ever before, by being able to explore a large world, interact with the franchise’s iconic characters, and level-up and customise Goku’s abilities and strengths to your liking.
The Walking Dead: Saints and Sinners
Release date: 23 January 2020
Available on: PC
A VR game set in The Walking Dead universe sounds like a great idea, so that’s exactly what developers Skydance Interactive have produced. Fight the undead, scavenge through the flooded ruins of New Orleans, and face gut-wrenching choices for you and the other survivors, all in visceral and immersive VR.
Warcraft III: Reforged
Release date: 28 January 2020
Available on: PC
It might be 17 years old, but Blizzard’s classic RTS Warcraft III is making a return in 2020, although in a new remastered package. Though it retains the gameplay of the original Warcraft III, Reforged adds revamped graphics, improved modding capabilities, an altered campaign, balance changes and modern online Battle.net features
Journey to the Savage Planet
Release date: 28 January 2020
Available on: Xbox One | PS4 | PC
A cheeky, fun, sci-fi romp, Journey to the Savage Planet is an upbeat & colourful, co-op adventure game you play as the newest recruit to Kindred Aerospace. Dropped onto an uncharted planet with little equipment and no real plan, you must explore, catalog alien flora and fauna and determine if this planet is fit for human habitation. It mixed a lot of survival, exploration, and combat mechanics, and looks great for those looking for something different this month.
