Watch James O’Connor get his head shaved

James O’Connor’s hairstyle at the weekend’s match between the Rebels and Force gathered some attention, but the 22-year old fullback has spared Melbourne supporters by shaving it off for charity.

The Wallaby was given the shears by Hawthorn Forward Lance Franklin, and managed to raise over AU$10,000 for the “Let ya mate know” campaign for autism awareness.

The funds will go to the Spectrum Superstars to open an early intervention centre, which will help provide therapy, services & support for children with autism and their families.

O’Connor, who is often dubbed the “Justin Bieber of rugby”, will now be sporting a much cleaner and sleeker look when the Rebels take on the Brumbies in Melbourne on Friday.
