Ahead of the colossal Rugby Championship test between the Springboks and All Blacks, the All Blacks’ flyhalf Dan Carter and lock Sam Whitelock speak about the challenge that awaits the team.

“I think it’s the challenge that we need actually,” said Dan Carter. “There’s only one way about confronting them, and that’s matching their physicality.”

Whitelock also added that the encounter will be a great test for the All Blacks forward pack.

For us as a forward pack, and especially a tight-five, we’re going to really need to focus this week,” said Whitelock.

If South Africa is able to beat the All Blacks, the teams’ placement on the IRB World Rankings would switch, putting the Springboks at number 1.
