8 Hottest Games of November 2020

November is arguably the biggest month of 2020 for gamers. Not only are we getting a host of notable game releases, but we’re getting two brand-spanking new consoles in the form of Sony’s Playstation 5 and Microsoft’s Xbox Series X and S models. Along with the next-gen versions of many recently-released games, there are some exciting titles to be on the look out for this November:

Dirt 5

Release date: 6 November 2020 (Xbox One | PS4 | PC), 10 November (Xbox Series X|S), 12 November (PS5)

Dirt 5 is Codemasters’ return to the beloved offroad franchise, bringing back more mud-cladded mayhem for racing fans to enjoy. You can enjoy various offroad disciplines including rallycross, ice racing, Stadium Super Trucks and off-road buggies, and for the first time in the franchise, Dirt 5 features a narrartive-driven story mode with the voice-acting talents of Nolan North and Troy Baker, who voice a rival driver and mentor respectively.

Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit Remastered

Release date: 6 November 2020 (Xbox One | PS4 | PC), 10 November (Xbox Series X|S), 12 November (PS5)

One of the most praised Need for Speed games in recent years, 2010’s Hot Pursuit reboot, is getting a remaster in November. The game will feature enhanced visuals, improved online play, all the game’s DLC, and a revamped photo-mode to share some glory shots of the game’s spectacular vehicles and locations.

Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla

Release date: 6 November 2020 (Xbox One | PS4 | PC), 10 November (Xbox Series X/S), 12 November (PS5)

The latest game in the long-running Assassin’s Creed franchise throws players axe-first into ninth-century England, an age of warring kingdoms and Viking conquest. Players will take control of a new assassin named Eivor, a fierce Viking raider, as they aim to grow and expand their own empire. You will also be able to construct, customise, and upgrade your settlement with new buildings like barracks, blacksmiths, and tattoo parlours, all while recruiting new members to grow your clan.

Bugsnax

Release date: 12 November 2020 (PS4 | PC), 19 November (PS5)

One of the weirdest and most interesting-looking games arriving this November is Bugsnax, a puzzle-adventure game which requires players to catch and cultivate different creatures made from, well, snacks. But, it won’t be easy, as you’ll have to come up with pretty inventive ways to catch the snack-shaped-bug-creatures around the island world.

Demon’s Souls

Release date: 12 November 2020 (PS5)

Demon’s Souls has earned an iconic reputation, being a devilishly difficult but brilliant release on the PS3. Eleven years later, and the game has been fully rebuilt from the team behind the Shadow of the Colossus remake. The voice acting has been redone, with many of the original cast returning to both re-record their old lines and voice new dialogue, while motion capture animations have also been redone.

Sackboy: A Big Adventure

Release date: 12 November 2020 (PS4), 19 November (PS5)

The LittleBigPlanet franchise is evolving, with the franchise mascot Sackboy getting his own 3D platformer, but more in the line of Super Mario 3D or Crash Bandicoot, rather than the design of the first 3 games.

Spider-Man: Miles Morales

Release date: 12 November 2020 (PS4), 19 November (PS5)

Spider-Man: Miles Morales is a standalone follow-up to 2018’s brilliant Spider-Man from Insomniac Games. The game picks up one year after the events of Spider-Man, and involves a power struggle between a high-tech criminal organization and an energy corporation, with Miles’ home in Harlem caught in the middle. Familiar foes and new ones will make an appearance in what should be another great open-world superhero romp on Sony’s platform.

Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War

Release date: 13 November 2020 (Xbox One | PS4 | PC | Xbox Series X/S | PS5)

Developed by Treyarch and Raven Software, Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War will act as the direct sequel to the original Black Ops, and will drop fans into the depths of the Cold War’s volatile geopolitical battle of the early 1980s. In a gripping single-player campaign, players will descend into the dark centre of a global conspiracy alongside iconic characters Woods, Mason, and Hudson, along with a new cast of operatives to stop a plot decades in the making. Beyond the campaign, Black Ops Cold War will deliver the next generation of CoD multiplayer and Zombies experiences.
