The Reds managed to pull off a spectacular upset in Round 12 of Super Rugby pacific, beating the formerly unbeaten Chiefs 25-22 in Hamilton. However, the Reds were robbed of a few extra points in the first half.

It happened during flyhalf Lawson Creighton’s conversion attempt after the first Reds try. Unfortunately, the ball fell off the tee, and as Creighton approach the ball to reposition it, Chiefs fullback Shaun Stevenson cleverly pounced on it, claiming that Creighton had already begun approaching the ball before it fell (which would signal the beginning of the kick).
