South Africa’s largest-ever QLED TV is now available to purchase, as Skyworth has launched the 100-inch SUF958P.

Besides its massive panel, the SUF958P comprises a range of display technologies including QLED+, 4K resolution, and a 120Hz refresh rate.

The dimensions of the TV itself are 2.24m wide by 1.28m high, and featuring what Skyworth calls their “Boundless Screen design” with only a tiny bezel, those measurements are essentially the entire panel.

Skyworth has also included the Chameleon Extreme 3.0 system on the unit, which is a suite of software-powered technologies the brand has developed to enhance picture quality. They include:

  • AI Super Resolution upscales all your 1080p content – such as sports matches and movies – frame by frame into a higher resolution that looks excellent.
  • Contrast Enhancement and Dynamic Noise Reduction make your picture pop with brighter highlights while ensuring superior quality.
  • MEMC ensures all your content is smooth – whether it’s the latest Rugby World Cup match or your favourite console game. It’s particularly impressive when combined with the panel’s 120Hz refresh rate and support for Variable Refresh Rate (VRR) – both of which are particularly valuable when gaming.

The TV is also equipped with a sound system comprising a total of 60W output across five speakers that deliver booming bass and sharp trebles. The speakers support Dolby Atmos for additional audio clarity and are all fitted in the SUF958P’s minimalist, industrial-style display, that uses a strong metal backboard, more durable than the plastics used on many other TVs.

The Skyworth SUF958P 100-inch TV retails for a recommended retail price of R69,999.
