HYROX Johannesburg Dates Confirmed for 2025

Following a highly successful first event in Cape Town, HYROX SA has officially announced a date for its first Johannesburg event in 2025. The second event in South Africa, HYROX Johannesburg will see the fitness racing event take on the City of Gold.

Combining running and functional fitness into one epic race, HYROX continues to live up to its description as the biggest indoor fitness event in the world. The sport is growing rapidly with events taking place across Europe, the USA, Canada, and Australia. Now South Africa has been included in the mix. HYROX South Africa hosted its first event in Cape Town on the 21st of September, 2024 and today announced a follow-up date for its second event; HYROX Johannesburg on the 1st of March 2025 at the Johannesburg Expo Centre, Nasrec.

HYROX Cape Town saw 1,483 athletes compete, with participants ranging from elite competitors to fitness enthusiasts and first-timers, with over 2,000 spectators coming to get a taste of HYROX. The competition featured HYROX’s signature mix of functional fitness challenges, including running, rowing, and endurance strength-based exercises, pushing athletes to their limits. The Cape Town race exceeded expectations, breaking previous attendance records for a first-time HYROX event.

Now, the HYROX SA team is gearing up for even bigger and better things with the next event announced in the South African series for 2025.
