The 2024 gaming year is heading into the tail-end of things, with two simulators to ease you into the holiday period, along with some horrifying adventures for those who like a little bit of tension with their downtime. Here are the games to check out in November 2024:

Slitterhead

Release date: 8 November 2024 (Xbox Series X/S | PS5 | PS4 | PC)

Coming from the guy behind the Silent Hill and Gravity Rush franchises, Slitterhead is a bizarre yet intriguing new action-horror game, bringing a spin on combat where you have to possess different individuals in order to fight grotesque monsters in 1990s Hong Kong. It’s described as a game that even non-horror fans will enjoy, and is full of intense melee combat full of parrying and dodging, so it should be an interesting experience.

Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster

Dead Rising, often referred to as the OG of the open-world zombie-survival genre, is getting a new lease of life in the form of the Deluxe Remaster, bringing a host of new features to the resurrected release, including a full graphical overhaul, new voice acting, auto-save support, and various other quality-of-life features. It is hitting South Africa on 8 November, so you can purchase your Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster copy here on PS5 or Xbox Series X/S.

Lego Horizon Adventures

Release date: 14 November 2024 (PS5 | Switch | PC)

In probably the weirdest gaming crossover of the year, Lego Horizon Adventures releases this November, delivering a new adventure in the Horizon: Zero Dawn universe, albeit in the block-smashing, collect-a-thon format popularised by other Lego games. Admittedly, it looks pretty fun, and you can play through the game in co-op or solo.

Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024

Release date: 19 November 2024 (Xbox Series X/S | PC)

It goes without saying that Flight Simulator 2024 is the biggest and most comprehensive flight sim game to date. Launch your aviation Career wherever you choose in the world, gain experience, build your reputation, and complete certifications to gain access to authentic aviation activities ranging from Medevac, Remote Cargo Ops, Aerial Firefighting, Search and Rescue and more, all the way to becoming an Airline Passenger Transport Pilot.

Stalker 2: Heart of Chornobyl

Release date: 20 November 2024 (Xbox Series X/S | PC)

Stalker 2 has been a long time coming, but it’s finally here this November. Much like the original game, you take the role of a lone stalker and explore a photorealistic seamless open world in a 64-km² radioactive zone. Team up with (or fight) factions, interact with other survivors, and take on the monstrosities that await in the radiated zone of Chornobyl.
