Billy Twelvetrees has been in an alluring prospect for the national side for quite some time, and the Gloucester centre has finally been called up to the England squad.

Twelvetrees has been named at centre against England’s Six Nations match against Scotland, which will take place at Twickenham.

The 24-year old fills the gap left by injured Manusamoa Tuilagi, who’s had a great stint since making the England side.

The rest of the team remains largely unchanged.

“We are happy to stick with the team that did so well against New Zealand, especially in light of the fact that they have all been in good form for their clubs since then,” said England head coach Stuart Lancaster.

The team to face Scotland on Saturday, February 2, is the following:

England: 15 Alex Goode, 14 Chris Ashton, 13 Brad Barritt, 12 Billy Twelvetrees, 11 Mike Brown, 10 Owen Farrell, 9 Ben Youngs, 8 Ben Morgan, 7 Chris Robshaw (captain), 6 Tom Wood, 5 Geoff Parling, 4 Joe Launchbury, 3 Dan Cole, 2 Tom Youngs, 1 Joe Marler.
Replacements: 16 Dylan Hartley, 17 David Wilson, 18 Mako Vunipola, 19 Courtney Lawes 20 James Haskell, 21 Danny Care, 22 Toby Flood, 23 David Strettle.
