Following the massive success of the Predator 24 boot from Adidas, (you can check out our review here) there have been a few pros spotted wearing blackout or whiteout versions of the next version of the Predator boot, but Adidas has finally released the next-gen Predators for the 2025 season.

Available as of 3 December, the new Predators piggyback off the improvements brought about through this year’s Predator 24 model, and add some subtle changes.

Firstly, the rubberised grip elements on the upper have been adjusted a bit for a better touch on the ball, adding some rubber fins on the forefoot area. Secondly, the silhouette of the boot itself has been redesigned to be a bit more streamlined.

As for the soleplate, there haven’t been any changes there, with the same triangular stud shape and construction as the Predator 24 making another appearance. If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.

Regarding the AG version (artificial ground), Adidas has made some changes here too. Instead of the previous AG stud pattern, the Predator 25 (which we’ll be calling it for now) features a stud pattern that football boot aficionados will recognise: the soleplate of another Adidas boot, the AG version of the F50.

As per usual, the Adidas Predator 25 comes in a few variations and takedown models, which are listed below:

  • Adidas Predator Elite Laceless — R5,499
  • Adidas Predator Elite FT (foldover tongue) —R5,999
  • Adidas Predator Elite — R5,499
  • Adidas Predator League FT — R1,899
