It seems like now that a lot of Disney’s iconic licenses have entered the public domain, every filmmaker is trying their hands at a darker spin-off of the once-beloved children’s characters. We first saw Winnie the Pooh get a horrifying reimagining, Popeye turning into a murderous killer, and now it’s time for Bambi to step into the horror genre.
Bambi: The Reckoning is an upcoming film set in the same universe as the aforementioned Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey, and follows Xana (Roxanne McKee) and her son Benji (Tom Mulheron) who find themselves in a car wreck and soon hunted down by the vicious killing machine, Bambi.
Bambi: The Reckoning will release later in 2025. Check out the trailer below:
