Star Wars: The Force Awakens – Character Names Revealed

The trailer for Star Wars: The Force Awakens gave us our first look at several new characters, but we still didn’t know what any of these newcomers were named – until now.

Entertainment Weekly has now revealed the names of all of the characters seen in the trailer – or at least their partial names.

The droid is BB-8.

Oscar Isaac is playing Poe Dameron.

John Boyega is playing Finn.

Daisy Ridley is playing Rey.

The mysterious figure holding the red lightsaber is Kylo Ren.

In addition, EW (which made their reveals via fun, retro Star Wars trading card visuals) also clarified that what we assumed were Stormtroopers, X-Wing fighters and the Millennium Falcon in the trailer were just that – as in, those same names are being used for these soldiers and vehicles, without any changes/updates from the original trilogy.
