Ghostbusters Reboot Cast Confirmed

Well, after some rumours swirled last week, it’s now it’s definitely happening. Paul Feig’s new take on Ghostbusters will be arriving in cinemas on 22 July 2016, with production starting soon, with shooting to take place in New York, the spiritual home of the Ghostbusters movies.

Paul Feig announced the news via his Twitter account, and he’s also confirmed the lead cast of his movie.

The new Ghostbusters? They’re going to be Kristen Wiig, Melissa McCarthy, Leslie Jones and Kate McKinnon. You can see pictures of the new crew right here…

Feig’s take on the property is said to be targeting a scarier tone that will not maintain any continuity with the original film or its 1989 sequel (or the surprisingly continuity-heavy animated series “The Real Ghostbusters,” for that matter).

    I have a huge amount of mixed feelings about this one. I really hope it’s awesome, I really hope they don’t ruin it.

      Ya agreed. Might become a bit much. The original Ghostbusters cast had a good mix of personalities. Not so sure on this…

        Ya and they were well known writers and comedians before they had been in them.
