It’s weekend, and that means that the sporting fixture list is packed full of some epic encounters taking place over the next few days, and we got you covered with which clashes you’ve got to keep your eyes on.

Bath vs Sale Sharks (Premiership Rugby)

The big stars from the Six Nations are back, and Bath have collected ten Aviva Premiership Rugby points from the last six games and have tumbled from second to fifth. But that’s not to say the Rec outfit are anything but dangerous after a storming start to the season and there is every chance the tables will turn again this weekend.

Just five points separate second-place Saracens from Sale in seventh and this weekend is a chance to lay down another marker before Aviva Premiership Rugby takes a short break.

Pakistan vs South Africa (ICC Cricket World Cup)

1992 champions Pakistan would want to prove a couple of points against the Proteas who are on a roll after suffering a comprehensive defeat against India.

Pakistan have been beaten by the Proteas in all their earlier three World Cup meetings (1992, 1996, 1999) and they would want to tick a win, besides also posting their first victory against a big side in this edition.

South Africa, on the other hand, would try to continue their strong showings, having won three of their four matches and coming off the back of two totals of 400-plus.

Stormers vs Sharks (Super Rugby)

This weekend the Stormers will have home advantage as they host the Sharks at Newlands in Cape Town.

The Stormers have named Eben Etzebeth and Schalk Burger in their team for this match. Eben Etzebeth is returning from a chest injury while Burger has just returned from Japan.

The Sharks have also brought a couple of their stars in for this match as JP Pietersen and Frans Steyn will make their first starts. In the front row Thomas du Toit rotated with Dale Chadwick who drops down to the replacements bench where Renaldo Bothma replaces Jean Deysel who is injured.

Chiefs vs Pirates (ABSA Premiership football)

Once again, the always-entertaining Soweto Derby will take over our screens on Saturday afternoon, as Pirates battle Kaizer Chiefs at Orlando Stadium.

Pirates coach Eric Tinkler has steered his side to five matches unbeaten, four of those victories, to put the Buccaneers back on an upward trajectory in the PSL in fourth place, but Pirates are effectively out of the championship race, 14 points behind leaders Chiefs. That said, there’s some revenge that needs to be dished out following the 2-0 defeat the side suffered in his first match against Chiefs after taking over from Vermezovic.

Australia vs Sri Lanka (ICC Cricket World Cup)

The clash between Australia and Sri Lanka will be very crucial for both sides as the winner will be in firm pole position to finish the group table in second spot. A win for the visitors will assure them a second spot.

Sri Lanka are second in the table with six points from four games and Australia are one point behind them in third spot. Michael Clarke’s side will be looking to seal a victory over the Lankans, which will help them edge closer towards a second place finish in the group.
