French Photographer Uses Lego To Create Hilarious And Clever Art
Brick by brick, French artist Samsofy brings a new angle to the use of Lego.
Lego is pretty amazing – as simple and easy-to-use it is, it has transcended through the ages and is still a beloved toy for children and all-growed-up people, even with all the fancy gadgets we have these days. French photographer Samsofy is aware of this and has used Lego pieces and characters to create some truly unique photographs.
Samsofy (actually Sofiane Samlal) combines the elements of photography, street art, model building and installation to great effect. Forced perspective and well-chosen materials make for some stunning scenes with the plastic yellow people. You can’t help but admire the tiny plastic Superman lifting the drain grate.
