Two Guys Eat The World’s Hottest Chilli [Video]
Eating the ‘world’s hottest chilli pepper’ was never going to go well.
Chicken-wing aficionado Sean Evans, who runs a YouTube show called First We Feast, decided to invite Chili Klaus (basically a Scandinavian chilli expert) to help him try out the world’s hottest chili. The result, as you can imagine, is hilarious.
Dubbed the “California Reaper” (and grown by the vividly named PuckerButt Pepper Company), this chili holds the world record for spiciness. According to Guinness, scientists measure its average hotness at 1,569,300 Scoville Heat Units (SHU), with a peak spice level of 2.2 million.
For scale, that’s about 5 to 15 times hotter than a habanero.
The two seem to enjoy the chilli at first, but give it a few seconds…
