Force Gurkha: India’s Suzuki Jimny Rival Coming to South Africa
Force is heading to SA, and with its arrival, comes a new compact 4×4 option.

Indian car manufacturer Force may not be a household name in South Africa (yet), but the long-running company is set to launch in SA in 2023.
Force has partnered with ETG Logistics, which will see a fleet of 5 vehicles becoming available to the South African public in Q1 of next year.
Included in the line-up is the Kargo King bakkie, Traveller in midi-bus, panel van, and ambulance variants, and most interestingly, the Gurkha 4×4.

The Force Gurkha will slot into the compact 4×4 category which is confidently dominated by Suzuki’s Jimny, which saw a notable face-life in 2018.
As for the Gurkha, it features a boxy, three-door, four-seater design similar to that of Mercedes-Benz’ G-wagon, a 2.6-litre diesel engine, and mechanically-locking differentials on the front and rear axles.

The interior includes a 7-inch display with a built-in infotainment system featuring Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, full-LED headlamps with daytime running and cornering lamps, rear parking sensors, central locking, a tyre pressure monitoring system, ABS, and dual airbags.
Pricing for the Force Gurkha and the rest of the range will be released in due time.
