Lamborghini Sián: What You Need to Know About Lamborghini’s Hybrid Hypercar
The most powerful road Lamborghini ever made has arrived.
Lamborghini has lifted the veil on its latest street-scorching supercar, the Sián, but this new entry is a little different to the Italian manufacturer’s other toys.
Firstly, Lamborghini will only be building 63 coupés and 19 roadsters of the Sián, but in addition to its 6.4-litre, naturally aspirated V12 engine, the Sián will be Lamborghini’s first foray into the world of hybrid vehicles. Rather than a conventional battery pack, the Sián uses a supercapacitor to provide the highest power possible via the lightest solution.
What this means is that the Sián will hit 100km/h in 2.8 seconds and top-speed of 349km/h. An elite handful of contemporary hypercars, including the Buggati Chiron, McLaren Speedtail and the spectacularly ludicrous Hennessey Venom F5, can match that.
Price-wise, the Lamborghini Sián will set you back $2,640,000 (around R39.3 million), so it’s not exactly cheap. 15 are being sent to the good ole USA already, so you’ll have to grab yours quick if you want a piece of electric-infused vehicular madness.
