You Can Buy Paul Walker’s ‘Fast and Furious’ Nissan Skyline
Grab a piece of movie memorabilia, which also delivers some serious horsepower.
There’s no shortage of gorgeous cars from the Fast and the Furious franchise, but without a doubt, one of the fan-favourites was the Nissan Skyline R34 GT-R that Paul Walker’s character Brian O’Connor drove in 2 Fast 2 Furious and Fast and Furious.
The blue 2002 model that appeared in that fourth instalment is now up for auction, and it’s fetching a serious price-tag with the starting bid set at €500,000 (R10 million).
This particular model was among the GT-Rs that Kaizo Industries imported into the United States. Using a loophole, the company registered them as kit cars by bringing the vehicles to the country without engines and then making them complete.
Interestingly, after the movie was completed, the United States government impounded this particular GT-R due to the government questioning Kaizo’s import tactics. According to the auction listing, there was a resolution to this issue in 2012, and someone imported the vehicle to Germany.
Paul Walker actually requested a number of upgrades to the car too, including some performance and interior enhancements.
