The Bulls face one of their biggest Super Rugby rivals, the Crusaders, in Round 5 of the 2013 Super Rugby tournament, and the Bulls have named the side that will take on the challenge.

The side which defeated the Blues in Round 4 remains largely unchanged, with the only exception coming in the form of Jürgen Visser, who replaces Lionel Mapie on the left wing after Mapoe picked up a shoulder injury.

Springbok U20 star Jan Serfontein then moves onto the bench, and will standby to hopefully make an impact later in the game.

“We got the momentum we wanted on tour with the good win against the Blues,” coach Frans Ludeke said.

“By naming the same side bar the injury, we hope to continue the way we finished against the Blues. We will need a good performance against a very good side.”

Captain Pierre Spies is confident regarding the good start to the NZ tour, but knows that a big encounter awaits them.

“We started the tour we wanted and now need to make it work for us. We came close here in the past and now must try and get that rare win in Christchurch.”

The Bulls will meet the Crusaders on Saturday, 16 March 2013, in Christchurch. Kick-off is at 08:35 (SA time).

Bulls team to face the Crusaders:

15 Zane Kirchner, 14 Akona Ndungane, 13 JJ Engelbrecht, 12 Wynand Olivier, 11 Jürgen Visser, 10 Mornè Steyn, 9 Jano Vermaak, 8 Pierre Spies (c), 7 Arno Botha, 6 Deon Stegmann, 5 Juandrè Kruger, 4 Flip van der Merwe, 3 Frik Kirsten, 2 Willie Wepener, 1 Mornè Mellett.
