Wallabies speedster Nick Cummins gets another shot in the yellow jersey this weekend against the Springboks, and the 25-year old is anticipating the challenge that comes with going up against Bryan Habana.

Cummins, who is the self-proclaimed “Honey Badger”, is eager to impress coach Ewen McKenzie when he takes the field on the weekend.

“I’m excited to be back on the weekend and show Ewen that I can do something and repay that (faith),” Cummins said.

The physical winger is also excited at the prospect of going head-to-head with Springbok speedster Bryan Habana.

“He’s definitely a challenge but I’m ready to have a crack,” he said.

“I think it’s about having a presence in front of a player and trying to change what they’re going to do,” Cummins said.

“Definitely don’t show him the sideline because he’s a pretty quick rooster.”

Cummins will form the back trio alongside James O’Connor on the other wing and Israel Folau at fullback, and hopes to capitalise on some opportunities that the team creates for him.

“Imagine running off Izzy and Quade (Cooper),” Cummins said.

“(They’re) blokes who can bend the line, and not only bend the line but are able to do it themselves.

“If I can be on the outside of that, I’d be happy to get a bit of meat.”

The Springboks take on the Wallabies in Brisbane on Saturday, September 7, at 12:05 (SA, GMT+2).
