The Springbok and All Blacks’ Rugby Championship encounter will undoubtedly be massive, but the weight which the game holds is even greater considering that it could upset the IRB World Rankings.

The top spot has been held by the All Blacks since 2009, but the Springboks’ successive wins have brought the South Africans within shooting distance of the All Blacks.

If South Africa is able to beat the All Blacks, the teams’ placement would switch, putting the Springboks at number 1.
