Steyn, Habana leave for French club duty
SARU releases six Springboks to cater for the demands of the players’ respective French clubs
Six members of the Springbok squad will put aside their international duties in order to join their respective overseas clubs.
Winger Bryan Habana has headed back to Toulon, flyhalf Morne Steyn to Stade Francais, lock Juandre Kruger to Racing Metro, while scrumhalf Jano Vermaak, prop Gurthro Steenkamp and hooker Chiliboy Ralepelle have all headed to Toulouse to play there this weekend.
All six of the players will be making their Top 14 debuts, which means that they will be missing the Johannesburg-based Springbok training session on Thursday, August 29.
The six players will then re-join the team in Brisbane on Monday, ahead of the clash against the Wallabies.

Stade Francais have made a MAJOR ERROR. Steyn kicks well at “home” but to him that is Loftus (and only Loftus). As soon as he plays overseas his kicking is shocking!!
If they are looking for a player who kicks away possession with monotonous regularity, they’ve found him!
