Super Rugby vs Heineken Cup match dated: report
The “World Cup of Clubs” match between the Chiefs and Toulon has reportedly been dated, with both clubs agreeing to a date for the climactic match.
The much-talked about cross-hemisphere “World Cup of Clubs” match idea between the Super Rugby and Heineken Cup winners has reportedly picked up more momentum.
Toulon owner Mourad Boudjellal has been said to have agreed on a date with the Super Rugby winners, the Chiefs, for the fixture to take place.
2 February 2014 is said to be the date which the two teams are looking to meet. The venue for the fixture is reportedly Nice’s Allianz Arena or in Monaco’s Stade Louis II stadium.
The date falls before the beginning of the new Super Rugby season and within a break in the Top 14.
It’s also mentioned that a number of TV channels are interested in broadcasting the event.
