While the weekend has come to an end, it’s fair to say that it was jam-packed with some epic sporting moments, and we’ve rounded up the best of the best that will be the talking-points around the office water-cooler this week:

Australia on top of the world – Australia overwhelmed New Zealand to win the World Cup for a fifth time at an ecstatic Melbourne Cricket Ground after claiming victory by seven wickets.

Fiji dominate the Hong Kong Sevens – Fiji stormed to a consecutive Sevens World Series tournament win after beating New Zealand 33-19 in the Cup final.

Lions go three for four on tour – the Lions managed to round of their Australasian tour with a close 18-17 win over the Reds.

Bafana snatch draw with Nigeria – South Africa had to settle for a 1-1 draw against the Super Eagles at the Mbombela Stadium, with Bongani Zungu scoring SA’s only goal.

Portugal create history v All Blacks Sevens – Portugal score late on to draw 24-24 with the All Blacks Sevens at the Hong Kong Sevens, their first points against the New Zealanders in the 23 matches.
