3 Big Game Releases In SA This Week
What releases in SA are set to shake up local gamers this week? MenStuff has a closer look…
We’re now in the depths of February and the game releases are beginning to heat up. This week, we have a brand new PS4 exclusive hitting store shelves (which is also one of the most beautiful-looking games we’ve seen), along with an old-school fighter and a returning war-monger.
The Order: 1886
(20 February – PS4)
Ready at Dawn’s first PlayStation 4 game twists the Arthurian legend and melds it with Victorian London. Originally one of 2014′s brightest PS4 stars, The Order: 1886 will now shine when it releases this week.
The gun play is fast and frantic, and you’ll have to deal with taking out human enemies as well as a werewolf faction that is plaguing the city and humanity. Expect gorgeous graphics, frights, and a lot of action.
Total War: Attila
(17 February – PC)
Strategy fans will be watering at the mouth for something juicy to tuck into this week, and Creative Assembly’s Total War franchise will definitely do the trick.
The game is set in 395 AD, at the beginning of the Dark Ages. While the title character will be able to become the leader of theHuns, he won’t yet be in power at the start of the campaign.
The game features 56 factions, each with their own unit roster and agenda. Ten start as hordes without any capital or region, and 46 start with a region and capital, and it’ll be your job to make quick work of them.
Dead or Alive 5: Last Round
(20 February – Xbox One, PS4, Xbox 360, PS3, PC)
For fans of virtual bouncing body parts and simultaneous punching in the face, Dead or Alive makes its return this week with a juiced-up version of it’s fifth instalment. Dead or Alive 5: Last Round is the third updated version of 2012’s Dead or Alive 5, touting some new added features like new costumes and customisable hairstyles, as well as two new characters and two new stages.
The PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions will feature upgraded graphics, running in the resolution of 1080p and the frame rate of 60 frames per second. Also, The game uses a new Soft Engine, designed to better depict “softness” of characters’ bodies.
