3 Big Movies Releasing In SA This Weekend
Which movies are hitting our big-screens this weekend? MenStuff gives you the low-down on what’s what.

The weekend is around the corner and if you’re looking for a relaxed trip to the cinemas this weekend, and there’s a lot of choice on offer with some big releases launching this Friday, 17 April, so here’s your handy guide on what you should be watching:
Run All Night
Once again, Liam Neeson returns in a gritty action-thriller where he’s 100% likely to punch people in the face. Neeson plays a hitman who has to choose between his crime family and his actual family – when he discovers that his estranged son Mike (Joel Kinnaman) might be heading down a dark and twisted path. Jimmy is reunited with old friends, foes and demons as he works to protect his family.
Project Almanac
If you’re one for some intrigue and time-travel, Project Almanac should tickle your fancy this month – think The Butterfly Effect for the new generation.
The Longest Ride
If you’re going to get roped into a romantic drama this weekend by your significant other (or maybe that’s your own guilty pleasure), The Longest Ride is one of the most interesting-looking ones.
Starring Clint Eastwood’s son, Scott, The Longest Ride follows Luke, a former champion bull rider looking to make a comeback, and Sophia, a college student who is about to embark upon her dream job in New York City’s art world, who get involved in a star-crossed love affair.

I am just wondering if Liam Neeson will ever be able to play any other type of role than that. Seems like the way he is acting is like every movie is just like another Taken Movie. if you understand what I am saying. people take something from him and he is a pro in getting it back.
Wonder what would happen if they cast him in a comedy?

I was just about to say that. The guy has pigeonholed himself as one type of actor. A while ago I saw him in a movie with Olivia Wilde that was really cool. Was a different role than he usually plays and it has Olivia Wilde.

He’s definitely put himself into a corner regarding his acting choices. I think he will be relegated to doing these types of films forever, plus the odd voice-acting job. Speaking of, are they still making more Narnia movies? He was pretty cool as Aslan.

Is Project Almanac any good? Looks like this weekend is more of a sports viewing weekend than anything else. United vs Chelsea is going to be a cracker!
