3 Biggest Sports Clashes To Watch This Weekend
What matches should you have your eye on this weekend?

We’re in for a treat this weekend, people, because following a short break, the Premier League is back. And if that wasn’t enough, the Currie Cup action is hitting the pivotal stage of the tournament, and if that isn’t a good enough excuse to embrace the couch this weekend, the Springboks face their toughest test of the year, as the Boks head to Wellington to take on the All Blacks.
Here are the three matches you need to watch this weekend:
All Blacks vs Springboks
Saturday, 8:30
Come Saturday, the Springboks will face arguably their most daunting and toughest task this season – attempting to beat the All Blacks in New Zealand, and after testing the World Champions last year during the infamous Eden Park Test, the Boks should have some deep belief in themselves to finish the job. All eyes will be on youngster Handré Pollard, who got the starting-nod for the No. 10 jersey.
Arsenal vs Manchester City
Saturday, 13:45
The two big guns of Arsenal and Manchester City meet at The Emirates Stadium on Saturday as both teams will seek to reignite their campaigns after making stumbling starts to their respective Premier League seasons. Arsenal haven’t managed to reach their heights that they showed prior to the season kicking off, and will hope to recapture some of the form that helped them defeat Man City 3-0 in the Community Shield match. On the other side of the pitch, City have been slowly improving since their shaky start and should fancy their chances away from home.
Golden Lions vs Western Province
Saturday, 17:05
The two front-running and in-form teams of the Currie Cup competition go head-to-head this weekend once again. The first match between the two in Newlands went the way of the home side, but the Lions will be looking to secure a semi-final spot now with home-advantage in their favour. The Lions have struggled a bit with injuries and selection-consistency, but if there ever were a time to step up against the impressive WP team, Saturday’s encounter is the moment.
