Ride Along 2

If you’re hitting the cinema this weekend, you’ll have a choice of some interesting movies from a variety of different genres.

Here’s our picks for the movies releasing Friday, 15 January 2016:

Ride Along 2

Buddy action/comedies have a long history of reining in box office dollars. So, when Ride Along combined the massive appeal of stars Ice Cube and Kevin Hart back in 2014, it wasn’t much of a shock to see the film perform well.

Their bold investment leads them into the dark underbelly of modern banking where they must question everyone and everything.

Suffragette

Helena Bonhan Carter, Meryl Streep, and Carey Mulligan all star in Suffragette. This stirring story centres on Maud, a working wife and mother whose life is forever changed when she is secretly recruited to join the U.K.’s growing suffragette movement. Galvanized by the outlaw fugitive Emmeline Pankhurst, Maud becomes an activist for the cause alongside women from all walks of life. When increasingly aggressive police action forces Maud and her dedicated fellow suffragettes underground, they engage in a dangerous game of cat-and-mouse with the authorities,
